ABT Society

ABT Society is a Sakthi Group initiative established to translate the Farmer 360 (F360) vision into meaningful action for farmers and their families. Inspired by the vision of Mr. M. Balasubramaniam, Managing Director, Sakthi Group, the initiative builds on the Group’s long-standing association with agriculture, rural communities and inclusive development.

With roots dating back to 1921, Sakthi Group has grown into a diversified business group with interests spanning agriculture, dairy, finance, automotive, logistics, food, energy, technology and education.

At the heart of ABT Society is Farmer 360 — a concept that looks at farmer prosperity beyond a single crop, product or transaction. It considers the farmer, the farm, the family, livelihood, knowledge, enterprise and the next generation as parts of one connected ecosystem.

ABT Society brings this concept to life through its Centres of Excellence, knowledge and training programmes, entrepreneurship initiatives, partnerships and community engagement. The Centres of Excellence in Dairy and Sugarcane provide specialised knowledge and advisory support aimed at improving farm practices, productivity and livelihoods.

In July 2026, the first ABT Seva Maiyam was launched at Dharapuram, creating a village-level hub for this ecosystem. Envisioned as the first of many such centres, the Seva Maiyam brings together:

• Farmer training and advisory
• Access to essential inputs such as cattle feed, fertilisers and bio-slurry
• FPO initiatives
• Women’s training and entrepreneurship
• One-teacher learning support for village children
